Reward Ballet offers ballet classes specially tailored for dancers aged over 50 years. All classes are modified to suits the needs and abilities of mature dancers.
If you have never danced before but have always wanted to then come along and try a class, it’s never too late to start. If you learnt ballet in your earlier years and would now like to get back into it, then join a class and rekindle your passion for dance!
All classes at Reward Ballet are taught by Dr Rachel Evelyn Ward.
Rachel is currently a Senior Lecturer in the UNSW Faculty of Medicine and Program Director for the UNSW Bachelor of Exercise Physiology. Rachel is a Registered Teacher and Practical Teaching Supervisor of the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and a Licensed Teacher of the RAD’s Silver Swans ballet program.
Rachel is a former professional dancer who has performed with international dance companies including the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, appeared in musical theatre productions including Cats and The Lion King, and danced in the feature film Mao’s Last Dancer.

Reward Ballet offers the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Silver Swans ballet program for older adult learners. Silver Swans classes are specially designed to help improve mobility, posture, co-ordination and energy levels. The classes also provide a wonderful opportunity for artistic and musical expression.
